About Us
The Museum of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove opened on May 24, 1997. The museum was assembled by the Heritage Committee, which was formed in 1995. The founding members included Delores Wheeler, Rebecca Coady, Helen Morrissey, Gerald Osmond, Sean Skinner, Ethel Noseworthy, Simone Caddigan, Frances Kavanagh and Mary Gabriel-Cadigan.
The space which houses the museum was donated by the town, and our artifacts were donated by people in the community who were eager to share and display their town's wonderful and unique history.
The museum is divided into seven sections; each a representation of the community's history. The sections include: school, religion, fishing, lifestyles, military, agriculture and sports.

The museum also houses a cozy kitchen area. We encourage visitors to relax with a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat.
We have many documents pertaining to the history of the community, including genealogical information, built heritage, transcribed interviews with members of the community and much more. Our visitors have access to these records and we are currently working to better organize them for your convenience.
We are a seasonal museum, however, if you would like to visit the museum in the off-season, you can contact lbmcocmuseum@gmail.com and someone will gladly show you around.
